He possesses exceptional skills in various disciplines, such as deep and cave diving, freediving, skydiving, and outdoor activities. Throughout his career, Andy has presented on 18 television series for esteemed channels, including BBC1, BBC2, Children's BBC, Discovery US, and History. He has also contributed to numerous magazines such as FHM, Men's Fitness, ScubaDiver, Climber, and Skydive, as well as newspapers like The Mail on Sunday and The Telegraph. Additionally, he has authored a book titled 'Extreme Adventures' and performed stunts in movies such as James Bond's 'No Time To Die'.
In collaboration with CBBC, Andy co-developed and presented the high-energy and fast-paced series 'Beyond Bionic', which aired in February 2018. The show showcased Andy's attempts to match or surpass the superpowers of animals through engineering and ingenuity. Before his successful career in extreme sports and entertainment, Andy served in the British Forces for 10 years. He held various roles, including Diver, Paratrooper, and Bomb Disposal Officer. During his service, he commanded the Army's Underwater and Airborne Bomb Disposal Teams and the High-Risk Search Team of the Maritime Counter Terrorism Unit. Andy was deployed to operations in Bosnia, Kosovo, Northern Ireland, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
Andy is highly regarded as an accomplished underwater explorer. His expertise lies in deep, technical, and cave diving, which has taken him to various locations worldwide. Utilizing cutting-edge technology such as mixed gases and rebreathers, as well as traditional SCUBA equipment, he has mapped new submerged cave systems and discovered numerous lost shipwrecks. Andy's exploration knows no bounds, from WW2 merchant-mans in the cold, dark waters of the English Channel to 18th-century warships off uninhabited islands in Southern Patagonia. Few divers possess the skills to operate in the vast cave systems and extreme depths that Andy fearlessly explores.
In addition to his underwater exploits, Andy is a professionally qualified climber, mountaineer, kayak guide, and accomplished skydiver. He has undertaken remarkable feats such as a High-Altitude High-Opening jump from 28,000 feet for a science project filmed by the BBC. Furthermore, he raced against a Peregrine Falcon, the fastest animal on Earth, in free-fall and emerged victorious, reaching speeds exceeding 240mph.
