Disability intersects every facet of human life. But many organizations continue to struggle with how disability affects the issues they care about and how to be inclusive of the disability community. This workshop provides participants the opportunity to understand the basics of Disability Justice and learn how to make their own organizations and businesses more inclusive of the disability community.
People often have the wrong perceptions about the subject of disability. Often, it's because we don't understand the personal perspectives or insights of those with disabilities. Hear from our inspirational experts how those incorrect perceptions are not the reality.
Unconscious biases are attitudes that we hold subconsciously and affect how we feel and think towards others. Help your team recognise their biases and reduce their impact to ensure an inclusive working environment for everyone. Attendees will learn how to recognise, manage, and disrupt bias in the workplace. Participants will learn how to improve self-awareness regarding unconscious bias and review tools for mitigating bias in the workplace.
